United Methodist-Episcopal Video Dialogue on Full Communion: Shared Eucharist

This fall, the United Methodist-Episcopal Dialogue Committee will be releasing a series of videos that discuss common ministries and the current full communion proposal entitled 'A Gift to the World.'
In this video, Rev. Dr. Jean Hawxhurst, Ecumenical Staff Officer for the United Methodist Council of Bishops, and her spouse The Rev. Dr. Jerry Cappel (Episcopal Church) share their experience co-celebrating at a joint Eucharist service with members of St. James Episcopal Church (Shelbyville, KY) and Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church (Louisville, KY). Such joint services were authorized in 2006 by the Interim Eucharistic Sharing Agreement as a significant step on the journey toward greater unity between our churches (https://www.episcopalchurch.org/files/Common_Guidelines.pdf).
