Rev. Dr. Kyle Tau

The Rev. Dr. Kyle R. Tau serves as an Ecumenical Staff Officer for the Council of Bishops.  His areas of responsibility include the bi-lateral dialogues and full communion coordinating committees of The UMC, and staffing the United Methodist Committee on Faith and Order.  He began in this role in the fall of 2016. 

Dr. Tau holds a BA degree in Philosophy and Theology from Point Loma Nazarene University, an MTS degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and a PhD in Theological Studies from the Graduate Division of Religion at Emory University. 

He is a commissioned deacon in the North Georgia Conference.  He is married to the Rev. Kate Hurst Floyd who is an ordained elder in the North Georgia Conference.”
